Hey Maisie - great question! if it's a short film you probably want to make yourself a Master List of some of the excellent drama-comedy TV shows that have been out recently. Most of them tend to have complete structure arcs within the episode. I absolutely love:
COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS
The brilliant ATLANTA, of course
THE ENGLISH TEACHER
MOTHERLAND
BREEDERS
CATASTROPHE
RESERVATION DOGS
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY
If you make a list that's specifically helpful to your script, and let me know an episode that resonates with.you and that you think would be helpful, I'd be happy to take a look and talk about what's going on in it.
I’d love to hear about Drama Comedy structure, currently writing a short film script of this genre!!

Some I have found to be similar are Shrinking and Ted Lasso, specifically season 1 episode 5 of Ted.
My husband loves Ted Lasso and keeps bugging me to watch it. I'll take a look at S1 ep5 and get back to you!
Thank you sm! Massively appreciate it🫶
Amazing, thank you! I’ll have a think and get back to you with some others :)
