The Writer's Journey: The Descent

In Greek mythology, the Hero’s journey into the Underworld is called katabasis.

After two deaths in the family in three months, in the midst of my new Upside Down of grief and regrouping, I am off to the literal opposite side of the world for two months. Craig and I have been awarded writing fellowships in New Zealand.
