Punxsutawney Phil’s VERY welcome prediction of an early spring and the crazy doings of the weather gods in California of course remind me of one of the great teaching movies of all time: GROUNDHOG DAY.
There is no better way to learn story structure and level up your own writing than making a Master List of movies and really studying at least three of them for the Three-Act, Eight-Sequence Structure, and how each film handles the essential Story Elements found in all books, films, TV and plays.
I always recommend that writers put Groundhog Day on that list.
