It’s my favorite book festival - not just because Craig runs it! Bute is a spectacularly beautiful island, just a 30-minute ferry ride from near Glasgow - and the ferry alone is worth the whole trip. You end up in the gorgeous, walkable town of Rothesay:

The festival is casual and friendly with avid and engaged readers, and a bookshop and bookseller and library and librarians who handsell Bute authors’ books all year long.
